Accessibility

Updated October 7, 2026

WE > ME means nobody gets left on the bench. We want COSMIC RIOT to work for everyone, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've built in

• A "Skip to content" link and a menu that works with a keyboard and closes with Escape.
• A pause button for all background motion, and the site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting.
• The teaser video starts muted and never plays sound until you turn it on.
• Text alternatives for images, and labels on buttons and tables for screen readers.
• Light and dark color schemes that follow your device.

Also good to know

The card art is a picture, so each athlete's name, sport and story are also written out as text on The Riot and Stories pages. Our YouTube Shorts have captions on YouTube.

Tell us

If anything on the site gets in your way, email shillsshils@gmail.com with the page and what happened. We'll reply and, where we can, fix it or get you the information another way.
